"Compare our product features and benefits" shows Schedule D not in 2016 Deluxe Version. Turbo Tax again shortchanging long time users. Like in 2014. Bad!

It's still in Deluxe Desktop. All the Desktop versions still have all the same forms. Are you maybe looking at the details for the Online version?

Desktop CD/Download program is here https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/

It would be nice if what you wrote was true, but according to TurboTax, it is not. I looked at the packages today. They clearly show "For investment sales such as stocks, bonds, royalties, mutual funds and employee stock funds" available in Premier and not in Deluxe.
The webpage https://myturbotax.intuit.com/notstarted/ ... "Covers stocks, bonds, ESPPs and other investment income (Schedule D)" available in Premier, not in Deluxe.
It is more than disappointing that Intuit is not doing right by its long time customers who have used Schedule D in the Deluxe version for many years.

If you look at the Desktop product comparison chart on the web site, https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/...> , you'll see that investment sales are marked as offering ADDITIONAL help in Premier, meaning the interview is more in depth, which has been the case for years. There's the same interview in Deluxe for investment sales as has been there every year except the beginning of 2014. Everything you're quoting is referring to more extensive interviews than are available in Deluxe.

I looked at the page you cite; you are right. Then what does the webpage https://myturbotax.intuit.com/notstarted/ describe??? It reads "Covers stocks, bonds, ESPPs and other investment income (Schedule D)" available in Premier, not in Deluxe.
Two Intuit web pages, each saying different things. Which one is right?

If you are sure that you are right, then I'll return the copy of Premier that I bought and buy Deluxe instead. Are you sure that's what I can do? I need Schedule D, but don't need the in depth interview.
Unfortunately the package does not say in which version there is a Schedule D.

The Schedule D is definitely in Deluxe. I'm sorry but I can't tell what the marketing department may have had in mind when they wrote the cover material, but the Schedule D is definitely there in Deluxe.

That link you posted takes you to log into the Online web version which is completely different than the Desktop CD/Download versions. For the Online version you have to use Premier to enter investments. And there are many other differences between the Online web versions and the Desktop installed program.

Thanks to you both, TurboTax Anita and VolvoGirl. May I suggest that Turbo Tax puts something on the https://myturbotax.intuit.com/notstarted/ webpage to show that is its talking about the On-Line version? I got to that page using a Google search and did not see the pages before it or after it. It reads at the top "Access CD/Download software" which led me to believe it referred to the CD product, not the on-line version.
