Do I need to report income if it's less than $1200.00? There was no W-2 and it was earned from babysitting and the other person is only claiming it as child care.

Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Yes, you have to report it as babysitting income is considered by the IRS as self-employment income.
To report this income in TurboTax, open your tax return and follow these steps:
- Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Wages and Income on top of the screen
- Scroll down to All Income, locate the Self-Employment section
- Click Show more and click Start next to Income and Expenses.
If you have expenses to claim against this income, you'll need to upgrade to TurboTax Self-Employed.
