My township has an earned income tax. My employer deducts that from my pay so it shows up on my W-2 local tax area. Does TurboTax take care of it automatically?
The bottom line is how do I know TurboTax took the earned income tax into account in its calculations? It never asked me any questions about that in the interview.
It looks like the function is in fact working. I temporarily removed the local entries from my W-2 and my refund adjusted. That effectively answers the question.
