If you didn't receive a W-2 from your employer, you have a few options:
- Call your employer or their payroll provider
- You can try importing your W-2
- Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 for help in obtaining the missing form (you will want to have your last paystub when you call). The IRS will use the employer information you have to 'remind' your boss that you need a substitute W-2. You'll get a copy of that notice along with a Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement.

File your return using with estimated numbers using Form 4852: Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. If you do not receive the Form 4852 after notifying the IRS, you will need to create your own in Turbo Tax.
Note: If you choose to file Form 4582 you will not be able to e-file your return and you may need to amend your return later on.
