Get your taxes done using TurboTax
I had an interesting (and maddening) experience with Intuit phone support.
They charged me for TT 2025. I don't think I "subscribed" but I could be wrong. I tried to call to get the charge taken off my credit card. Trying to get a human, because none of the menu options were appropriate, I pressed 0. They thanked me for calling and hung up on me.
I called back and selected one of the options. Their robot asked me if I was calling about TT. I said yes, and "she" said, "TurboTax 2025 will not run on Windows 10." Apparently they knew who I was from the survey. I said, politely, that I needed to speak to a human about the credit-card charge. She said, "I'm sorry, that's all the information I have," and hung up on me.
I did find a place to report a charge I didn't recognize. I had to enter everything about the charge, and they reported that they couldn't find it (though it's listed as a transaction on my credit-card company's site). After three tries, I gave up.
I couldn't find any way online to even talk to a human about the charge. Through Google, I did see that there is a 60-day full refund policy. I had to fill out a form requesting the refund. We'll see how that goes. I can always dispute it with my credit-card company.
I find myself shouting at the TV whenever I hear anything about how AI is the future. Idris Elba is now dead to me. 😉
