I entered payers address from 1099-R correctly. Payer is in CO, I'm in TN. This changed payer State to TN and zip doesn't match now to finalize and file. what to do?

It ask for corrected zip to finalize return but it has TN in state box and I can't change it to CO. It has CO when I go back to original entry

Get your taxes done using TurboTax

As long as you haven't filed, you can Edit your 1099-R entries:

  • Edit the 1099-R in the original data entry screen in Federal, Wages and Income, Retirement.

Or,

  1. Federal Taxes
  2. Wages & Income
  3. You may need to click on Skip to see all income
  4. Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
  5. Click on Show More and then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
  6. Start
