Hi
How can I claim a loss on a stock that got delisted but broker will not provide 1099B form?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You cannot claim a loss unless the shares are worthless (or you sell them off-exchange).
Merely being delisted does not render the shares worthless.
Broker states that the loss will appear on the statement but they can't put on 1099B.
Yes stock is worthless zero dollar value
If it is on the statement, not the 1099B simply add it as a line item with zero proceeds and cost equal to your loss. Indicate in TurboTax: Select Long-term did not receive 1099-B form.
