Winning at casino but dont know where to put amount i invested to win

Thank you for your question! The amount invested has no place on the tax return. The amounts lossed while gambling is an itemized deduction. You must itemize your deductions only to the extent of your winnings. In other words, report your winnings first and then report your losses as an itemized deduction on form Schedule A. Be sure to keep all of the losing tickets for proof which is required!
