Amending Your Taxes | Ask the Experts

Join us on Wednesday, April 23rd any time between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Pacific Time for our latest installment of our Ask the Experts event series. Amending a tax return can be intimidating. This event is dedicated to answering all your amendment-related questions, so you can be certain that you even need to file and how to do it correctly.

Come spend a minute, an hour, or the whole day in the TurboTax Community forums. We'll have Tax and Financial Experts live - waiting to give you tax or personal finance advice for free! There’s no limit on how many questions you can ask—we’re up for the challenge and ready to answer things like:

I already filed but received another tax form. What should I do?
Oops! I found a mistake. Do I really need to amend?
Amending didn’t change my tax outcome. Do I need to file it?
I have to amend a prior year - can I do it after I file this year’s taxes?
What’s the 3-year rule for refunds and amendments?

How the day will work:

Our team of Experts will be in the TurboTax Community from 9:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Time on Wednesday, April 23rd ready to tackle your tough questions and engage in conversation with you. Just click the teal “Ask a Question” button at the top of our special event forum to start a conversation!

You can easily recognize our Experts out in the forums. If they have the Expert icon by their names, they are TurboTax employees. If they have the Champ icon by their names, they are not employed by TurboTax, but they are very knowledgeable.

When you receive an answer, you’ll get a notification (check the bell icon in the upper right corner). You’ll also receive an email notification. Our goal is to answer every question that comes our way before the event is over!
