Question

Where do I report college expenses like rent that were not on a 1098-T? I'm seeing a spot for expenses for my high school student but not for my college student.

I used a 529 and had qualified distributions. I'm getting dinged because I'm only seeing a place to put in the 1098-T (tuition) expenses, not rent for the off-campus living.

You can't enter those room and board expenses yet. This is a known glitch in TurboTax (TT). They are working on it.  It's expected to be resolved in a TurboTax update to be released by February 27th.             The 2025 education and 529 sections appear totally redesigned, from last year.
