Where do i put an abandoned investment property overseas in TT

To report this investment in TurboTax, go to

  • Wages & Income
  • Investment Income
  • Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other
  •  

Then pick Other.  From the List pick the type of Investment and go through the screens to report the information.

Hi--I followed the instructions. But then I get a Capital Gains Loss NOT an Operating Loss. The Capital Gains Loss limits me to 3000$ per year.
