When I try to enter a dollar amount for foreign tax credit of 77.87, without using form 1116, TT does not provide a box to input the amount. I input last year ok.

If the foreign tax paid is on a 1099, it goes into box 6. Make sure all boxes are displayed by checking the button to do so.
