What if im missing proof of child care payment because I paid in cash?

You do not send in "receipts" for the child care you paid for with your tax return.  But you do have to provide the SSN or Tax ID of the childcare provider who you paid the money to. The amount the person reports on their income tax return has to match what you enter on yours.  Going forward, get receipts from your childcare provider or pay by check so you have a paper trail.
