TurboTax removing support for ItsDeductible AGAIN

NOT AGAIN! I just got the announcement that "On October 21, 2025, ItsDeductible will be discontinued." We've already been through this. I thought this tool was safe, but it seems not. It's a tremendously helpful integration and it saves us hours. We donate all year long and need a robust way to track everything, and then have the amounts flow through to returns. Please reconsider sunsetting support for ItsDeductible. Thousands of users rely on it, I would imagine.

Disappointing.  I have used TurboTax for over two decades.  This is the final star.  How do they remove key functionality and not provide an alternative?   I am moving to a competitor.  Will save money and while I doubt Intuit cares they will no longer receive my money.

ItsDeductible helps keep all my donations organized.  Why would you discontinue a tool that people find works for them?  If it is just upgrading the software, sounds like you are not supporting the customers' needs.  This can't be that hard to upgrade a tool like this that can keep track of our charitable organizations and donations.  Please upgrade and bring back!

TO ALL UPSET ABOUT THIS:

TurboTax does NOT read these messages. You need to express your frustration to corporate. Unfortunately, it may be too late, as they deleted the app, site and all data.

try deductib.ly instead. $20/year; does the same thing; has  a phone app and site to track your donations. (I am NOT the maker, nor do I get paid to promote it).

I've used TurboTax for 19 years.

If TurboTax does not either restore the ItsDeductable functionality or provide an alternate integrated tool, I'll be moving to another platform for the 2026 tax year.

The increasing stratification of the pricing tiers and aggressive annual price increases are barely tolerable.  Removing a key feature is a relationship killer.

I can only hope that the decision makers actually monitor these community topics boards for customer feedback.

This will most likely be the last year that I used Turbo Tax, the price stays the same pretty much except they keep removing things and trying to upsell their product.  H&R Block is cheaper overall, you get the same things as Turbo Tax pretty much and their state e-file fee is less, so why would I continue to use this software, especially since my state return isn't correct?

I'm done with TurboTax... There are other software programs I can buy!

No worries, I found an entirely better work around. You can use Gemini or other AI to enter a list of what you are getting valuations on, prompt it to get values for tax deduction purposes, and it will do all the leg work for you. You can even take a photo of a handwritten list and it will pull the necessary info for you and give the low and high values, total of all of the items, and suggest a reasonable value of all the items, and it tells you what tax form you need if you are over $500. It's actually faster than ItsDeductible ever was. Make sure you have it on slow thinking or pro mode for best results.

A fun-fact about this is how the TurboTax forms still contain the ItsDeductible sections. Knowing early in 2025 they were going to terminate ItsDeductible, why didn't they update their tax forms?

The timing is interesting.  ItsDeductible used to be a separate product.  Probably a separate, old codebase nobody wants to maintain.

Could it be that ItsDeductible wasn't compatible with the Windows 11 update Intuit forced on us, so they just dropped it rather than update it?

This is insane having to use this new tool that won't allow you to add everything up and make it easy to donate to charities,  The fact that this was removed and replaced with a search that can't even find a t-shirt is ridiculous.  This is going to take hours.  I would pay if it gave me an option to save all this time

I gave my list to an LLM, and it gave me estimates for everything.

Maybe next year it can do my taxes too.

I'm as frustrated as anyone.  I'm posting this msg in a few places to widen the discussion a bit.

I've definitely given up on ItsDeductible.  I know the group that created GiveTrackSave, and it's way better.  Yeah, I'm biased for sure. I won't compare it with ItsDeductible since there is no comparison.  Gosh, I love the "Recurring Donations" feature in GiveTrackSave.  There you have it.  https://givetracksave.com
