Why am I only getting a $3,000 rebate for my Solar and over $9,000 is being saved for next year? even after the credit a have a liability of over $7,000 owed. Why is the full amount owed not being removed? Even if I do not get a rebate, why is it that I would still owe?

Energy credits can't offset income in Part ll of Schedule 2, usually self-employment tax.   Check Schedule 2 and look at Form 5695 to see how the credit was limited.    Solar Credit
