Should I enter tax preparation costs under my home business or in the Itemization portion of our taxes?

You can enter a portion of the tax preparation fees paid for both parts of your tax return.  You can review the software prices here:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/.   Use the basic software version price for your Schedule A, itemized personal tax preparation expense.  The additional amount paid for the Self-Employed version can be deducted as a business expense under legal and professional fees
