My foreign tax credit is included in itemized deductions but I would like to include it in tax credits form 1116. How do I change it?

You will need to go back under the foreign tax credit section and about 5 landing screens in, you will be able to select that you want to apply the foreign taxes as a credit and not a deduction. (see screenshot)

To enter a foreign tax credits in TurboTax, log into your tax return (for TurboTax Online sign-in, click Here and click on "Take me to my return") type "foreign tax credit" in the search bar then select "jump to foreign tax credit". TurboTax will guide you in entering this information.
