Question

If I used some of my HSA on medical expenses and didn't use the remaining total, do I say I spent it on medical expenses only or do I say no since I didn't spend it all?

If you did not take it out of the HSA account, you spent it on medical expenses only.  If you received a distribution from the account and did not use it for medical expenses you would say No.

HSA distributions are not taxable if you use them for qualified medical expenses.

Thank you, yes we only used it for medical, what we did spend.

It was just confusing because if you say no it asks how much you spent on medical and how much was rolled over, so I wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly.
