If I paid back property taxes on our home that were not in escrow from 2014 and 2015 on Feb of 2016, where would these go?

You can deduct all property tax you paid on all property you own in the year paid.as long as you only use the property for personal use, and also itemize your deductions.

To enter property tax deductions

  • Type in property tax deduction the search box, top right of your screen, then click the magnifying glass

  • Click the jump to property tax deduction link in the search results

  • Follow to prompts and online instructions

Arrive at the Enter any additional property tax you paid in 2016 page

Add all property tax paid in 2016 for your main home, and enter in the first field, Property tax on your main home
