I've entered a substantial Personal Property Theft in TurboTax, but it does not reveal a deduction? How do I get the loss acknowledged in TurboTax?

Unfortunately, tax reform laws passed last year no longer allow for that deduction.
The deduction for personal casualty or theft losses has been suspended (eliminated) through tax year 2025, unless the loss occurred in a federally-declared disaster area and was directly caused by the disaster.
