I purchased an new car in 2018. i can not seem to enter the sales tax amount in the other taxes paid section. Please help.

Try this: Type ''sales tax'' into the search bar, and use the Jump to sales tax link to be taken directly to the sales tax section in TurboTax. At the end of the interview, you will be allowed to enter the additional sales tax you paid on the car. You can take the sales tax deduction OR the state and local tax deduction, whichever is higher.
