I own my home free and clear . why does the mortgage interest show up as to be filled in? . i dont have a 1098

It may be pulled over from previous year's returns, or you checked the box in the beginning stating that you had mortgage interest or real estate taxes.
Just ignore it or delete the form if is bothers you.
To delete a form:
Log into your Federal return, click on
Tax Tools,
Tools,
Delete a form, delete the correct worksheet.
