I don't have the exact date of Purchase for my home only the month and year how do i finish the home buyer credit section it is asking for month day and year?

I can't remember the date of purchase to fill in the homebuyer credir portion how do I continue?

To get out of any section of TurboTax Online, click on a section (such as Federal) from the left-side menu.

You only have to fill out that section (assuming you are in the Homebuyer Credit Repayment section) if you claimed the 1st time homebuyer credit for a home you purchased in 2008. If you did not buy a home and take this credit in 2008, you can skip that section entirely by answering NO, I never got the credit.

If you do need to repay the 2008 credit, the date should be on all of your previous tax returns, but for the purposes of repaying it, you can use the 15th day of the month. The day you enter will have no effect on the credit payback amount.
