Question

I built a fence this summer for $3000, I built it myself. Am I able to claim anything on my taxes for this?

Was this for your personal residence?   You cannot enter anything for improvements or repairs to your own home.  Save your records for someday when you sell the house.  You cannot claim anything for your own labor.

Yes it was for my house, I had a new ac installed last year and I was able to claim that so I wasn’t sure what I could and could not claim. Thank you

@drothacher17 Well, the AC may have been an energy credit.   There are no such credits for such things as adding a fence around the property.
