Click this link for a workaround to Delete the Adoption Credit.

If you're using TurboTax Online, you can also try Deleting the Adoption Credit Form as @GeorgeM777 instructs, then close TurboTax.

Clear your Cache and Cookies.

Re-open TurboTax and see if Form 8839 still appears.

Follow these steps to delete Form 8839.

  1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
  3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  4. Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.

If you are using your mobile phone to log into your TurboTax account, do not use the TurboTax app to open your account.  Rather, log into your account through a web browser such as Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari.

I'm using a laptop not my phone and every time I delete the form, it comes back?? I can't get rid of it and now Turbo Tax is saying that I won't be able to efile until the form is accepted and that I now have to mail in the state return... but thank you @GeorgeM777
