I am an adjunct instructor. I know I cannot count mileage to class, but can I count mileage to meet with students outside of class since I am not given office space?
I am contracted for the courses I teach. The university is 3 hours away but they have an agreement with a local community college for the day we teach classes. I work with students when they are writing their dissertations, so I meet them frequently outside of class to conference. Since I do not have an office, I meet different places and I am not reimbursed by the university. Can I count this mileage?
