Following special tax law changes made earlier this year, cash donations of up to $300 made before December 31, 2020, are now deductible when people file their taxes in 2021. You don't need to itemize your deductions to deduct the $300.

Here are some workaround steps that you can try to clear the error message :

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Select Federal from the left menu.
  3. Click Deductions and Credits
  4. Select Review/Edit
  5. Click Edit to the right of Standard Deduction
  6. Click OK, Sounds Good
  7. Click Wrap Up Tax Breaks
  8. Click Continue
  9. Make sure that $300 is filled in and then click Continue
  10. Click Lets Keep Going.
