Question

EITC Expansion from 3rd COVID Bill - Is it implemented in TurboTax yet?

I already filed my taxes this year but now that the 3rd COVID bill has passed I may have become eligible for the EITC. Previously my income was just barely too high in 2020 to qualify in addition to not being old enough. Now the COVID bill lowered the age bracket and raised the max income so I may qualify now. TT says I have to wait until 3/25 when the 1040X form is available, and that's fine, but wondering if anyone can tell me if TT has implemented it already and if anyone happens to know how I can do the math to see how much the new enhanced credit would give me?

Thanks.

You know that change is for 2021, right?   It is not changing for your already filed 2020 return.

Huh. I didn't read that anywhere else, but if that's the case, oh well. I guess I'll take it next year.

you'll have to wait. even the IRS has not updated its forms and instructions for the latest relief bill. once they do it will take time for Turbotax to update its apps.
