Efiling should be made available for California residents up until the Nov 15, 2023 deadline. 98% of population lives in the disaster counties.

I can't e-file my tax return. TurboTax as me to pay $45 via credit card but then when I tried to do so, it said "

Hi there, and thanks for visiting. State E-File in TurboTax is closed as of October 31, 2023, so we can get ready for the upcoming tax season.

@trhhieu You cannot purchase state e-file now, so print, sign and date your return in ink, and mail it. E-filing is permanently closed for ALL 2022 returns.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
