Do I have to enter the same deductions for both husband and wife while filing separately or does one of us have to take the standard deduction. states we have to itemize

Yes, a limitation of Married Filing Separately is that both people must itemize or take the standard deduction. If you both itemize, then you can't report the same deductions twice either.
