No. You should have reported the sale tax paid for the vehicle on the 2020 tax return.

No. you cannot enter sales tax paid in 2020 on a 2021 tax return. If you did not enter it on your 2020 return you can amend 2020 if it will make a difference. Did you enter any other itemized deductions for 2020? If not, the sales tax will not make any difference.

@bonis54 No, you can only claim sales tax on your car in tax year 2020, when you paid the sales tax, not in tax year 2021.
