Can I deduct registration and licensing fees on my Idaho State tax return?

Unfortunately, no.
Idaho has eliminated most itemized deductions, including the registration and licensing fee.
Also unfortunately, car registration fees for vehicles registered in Idaho do not qualify for the federal itemized deduction because the registration must be based the value of the vehicle, which is not the system in Idaho.
