My mother is in a nursing facility with Alzheimers. I pay for day sitters to visit here and report on the care being provided. I use this as quality control on the facility. Can I deduct this expense as Medical Other?

No, unfortunately, your expense meant for quality control would be considered by the IRS to be a personal, non deductible expense.
