Theft happened om 11/16/19, Filed complaint with the police right away. There were many items stoles as well as some property damage to doors and door frames. When going through the Property theft and loss, I don't know what to put for date acquired, since I acquired everything over many years and the block for "cost basis" makes no sense to me

No, they are no longer deductible. Under the new tax laws the casualty and theft deductions have been eliminated.
