What's the income limit for the American Opportunity Credit?

To qualify for the American Opportunity Credit in tax year 2021, your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) cannot exceed $90,000 if filing as single or head of household, or $180,000 if filing jointly.

This credit is not available to married couples filing separately.
