I never received my 1098, but I do have some online info from my lender's website. Can I still fill out the form, or do I need to request the 1098 from my lender??

you should wait for the 1098.  however, in some cases you can download a copy from the company's website.  officially they don't have to be sent until 1/31  and the IRS won't officially open e-filing until 1/28.
