First, it depends on whether you qualify as a dependent taxpayer. If you are a dependent, you cant claim education benefits on your tax return. However, if you are claimed as a dependent on your parent's tax return, they could claim an education credit for you. 

Please refer to the chart on page 12 of pub 501 to see if you meet the requirements to be claimed as a dependent. Please note that there are requirements listed above the qualifying child and qualifying relative sections, and those requirements must be met as well.  https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p501.pdf.

Second, if you dont qualify as a dependent taxpayer and you are pursuing your first undergraduate degree, you might qualify for the American Opportunity Credit, this is a partially refundable credit so you could benefit even though you dont have income. If you are not pursuing your first undergraduate degree, it would not benefit you to file a return because the other education benefits only reduce taxable income or reduce your tax liability.
