Why is my daughter, Rebekah, not considered an eligible tax credit. She is a fulltime high school student, and lives at home with me.

I am a single parent and need all the tax breaks I can get, It does not seem right that I cannot get a tax credit for her, when I support her, and she is in high school.

"....she is in high school"   If your daughter turned 17 in 2017, then you lost the child tax credit. There are no exceptions to the rule.  You can still claim your child as a dependent.
