Why is it saying we can't claim education credits because "somebody else can claim Linden as a dependent on their return"? That's not true

I would ask Linden did they file their own return and indicated no one else could claim them, so they claimed themself? I know that happened to some parents.

Go back to My Info and edit the dependent information you entered.  Carefully review each question and make sure that you did not select that someone else can claim them as a dependent.

Click on My Info on left side of the online program screen.
