You will file your 2018 Federal income tax return using Form 1040. The previous "short forms," 1040A and 1040EZ no longer exist.

Every taxpayer will use the redesigned Form 1040, and one or more of the "building block" Schedules 1 thought 6, depending on type of income being reported and deductions or credits being claimed.
