Where did the screen go to enter other school expenses NOT required to be purchased from school? In this case a laptop required for courses, but not bought from school.

At the screen "Did (student's name) have any of these common situations in 2025", check the box "had education expenses other than tuition".       

   That will get you a screen, later, "Time to enter (student's name) educational expenses". Enter those expenses at "Optional books and materials from the school".

Thank you! However, will that still be ok to use that box since when I click the question mark next to the box, it says not to enter items NOT purchased directly from the school. It says “we will enter those later”. I completed all the sections after and it never gives me a space to enter the cost of the laptop.

Other forums say there is a section missing from this years online version in that category? Is it a bug? I really need to file this week 😕

If you are using TurboTax Online, you should now see these questions.  The update to this section is being rolled out to desktop users this week.
