I have been paying back my federal student loans from college years ago - does this count as "paying back qualified student loans" on my tax return?

If you paid student loan interest in 2024, this is reported to you on a 1098-e from your student loan finance company. Be sure to look at your first statement in 2025. Sometimes it's on the bottom of your first statement of the year. Also you can check your online account for tax documents.
