What are the requirements to roll over funds from Texas Tuition Promise Fund plan into a 529?

This is a tax deferred account. When canceled they sent a check. For how long could I hold the fund in my checking account?

 Funds must be deposited into the new 529 account within 60 days of the distribution to avoid taxes and a 10% penalty on earnings.
