We have high school students. Are their school supplies deductible or do they have to be college or post high school for these deductions?

It looks like they have to be in college to deduct notebooks, computers, school supplies, etc.

At the federal level, education expenses are only deductible for post-secondary study.  If your particular state offers some type of deduction for lower level study, TurboTax will ask you the appropriate questions in the state interview section.
