Visiting student (undergrad) on an F1 visa in spring 2015. Graduate student from Aug 2016 to now. For unknown reasons, I am eligible for the American Opportunity Credit.

I have been on an F1 visa all the time. I receive 1098-T forms.

To clarify, based on what I learned online, a graduate student can't be eligible for the AOTC

So I am wondering what I did wrongly.
