Can I write-off any expenses incurred due to travel outside the country for a college education class? Additional costs to tuition; clothes, food, airfare, passport, etc.

Travel costs, hotel stays and food are not eligible for the education credit nor are the costs to get ready to travel such as a passport. Room and board are never deductible or applied to the education credits. If the clothes were a uniform that the class required, then you could deduct that. If it's clothing you can wear elsewhere, then you cannot.
You could, however, deduct the additional costs to tuition or any supplies specific to the classes overseas.
