Paid private school tuition with a 529. Did not receive 1098-t but have a tuition paid report for amount. How do I enter the expense so not taxed on the distribution?

The education expenses section is for higher education.  For high school you do not have to file the form if all was used for eligible expenses.  Just save the receipts for the expense you paid.

So I don't need to report the distribution either in the 1099 q section either?

No, it's really essential for college because you need to be careful to not use the same expenses to claim an education credit and to make the distribution nontaxable, but for non-college expenses, that's not a problem.  If the IRS ever asked about the  1099-Q, all you'd have to do is send the receipts for eligible expenses paid.
