Student debt. I left college in 2017. Debt bills i think started jan 2018 because it was set up for 52$ a month and have a debt of 250$ as of this month on a 5000$ loan

This debt will get removed from 2017 or 2018 taxes?

If you are asking if the IRS will take your refund for a student loan in default, the answer is yes, they will.  If you owe on  a loan but it's not in default, meaning you've been making your payments, then no they wont.  If your first bill was just last month, it hasn't been unpaid long enough to go into default, so no, they won't take it.

If you are asking if the IRS will take your refund for a student loan in default, the answer is yes, they will.  If you owe on  a loan but it's not in default, meaning you've been making your payments, then no they wont.  If your first bill was just last month, it hasn't been unpaid long enough to go into default, so no, they won't take it.
