Since Fed Budget, finally extended Tuition & Fees Deduction for 2017 for grad school expenses & I'm waiting to file, when will TT update and new form 8917 be avail?

The IRS is still reviewing the tax extenders to determine next steps and you can see their statement here IRS Statement on Retroactive Extender Provisions

This could take some time before they gets things updated and once they do, the TurboTax software will then be updated to reflect these changes just as soon we receive direction from IRS. 

The IRS will have to make needed changes to forms, calculations, worksheets and schedules, etc. and approve that to be added to software; that may take weeks.
