Should not qualify for the Tuition and Fees Deduction, but TurboTax shows I qualify. How can I correct this status?

why do you think you do not qualify?  You can use the drilldown by right clicking on the values and see where they flow from and edit in the forms directly. But, you may qualify so please let me know what mistake you think TT is doing.

However, if you want to manually change your benefit from deduction to credit which you also qualify, you may do so by following these steps:

1.  At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in letme and Enter 

2.  Select the 1st choice on the search results - Jump to letme 

3.  Education Credits and Deduction-Do you want to change the education calculations? select Yes  and follow the prompts
